Staging notice

Terms of use (staging)

These are staging terms of use for browsing the public CertaMaris site and for authorized use of non-production or early deployments. They are not a master services agreement, not a substitute for a negotiated customer contract, and not legal advice.

Acceptance and scope

Applies to public pages and authorized access to this application instance.

  • By using this site or an authorized account, you agree to use the software lawfully and only for purposes permitted by the operator of the environment.
  • Public pages describe product capabilities honestly and may include synthetic demo explanations—not real client outcomes.
  • Authenticated areas are restricted to provisioned users. Attempting to bypass authentication, tenancy isolation, or role checks is prohibited.

Nature of the product

  • CertaMaris is Maritime Cyber Compliance & Assurance tooling—structured workflows, audit trail, and decision-support records.
  • It is not a U.S. Coast Guard office, certification body, law firm, or guarantor of inspection or enforcement outcomes.
  • Applicability suggestions, assessments, plans, and reports require qualified human review before reliance. Draft content remains isolated from released customer deliverables until approval gates are satisfied.
  • Traceability across workflow records documents operational relationships; a complete chain is not a certification of regulatory compliance.

Accounts, credentials, and security

  • Keep credentials confidential. Seed or demo passwords (if any) are for local/staging only and must not be reused in production or published on public pages.
  • You may only access organizations and records you are authorized to see. Client users remain scoped to their tenant organizations.
  • Operators may suspend access, rotate credentials, or take environments offline for security or maintenance without prior notice in staging contexts.

Content and intellectual property

  • Product branding, UI, and software remain owned by their respective rights holders.
  • Customer or operator-supplied content (evidence, plan text, organization data) remains subject to the rights of the party that provided it and any governing agreement.
  • Official regulatory text is controlled by the issuing authority; CertaMaris source registers record provenance only and do not republish regulations as legal advice.

Disclaimers and limitation (staging)

  • Staging and development environments are provided as is, without warranty of availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or freedom from defects.
  • Do not rely on staging data for real-world compliance decisions, enforcement positions, or production personal-data processing without operator confirmation.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, operators and contributors are not liable for damages arising from use of staging software or reliance on demo/fixture content. Production liability, if any, is defined only in executed commercial agreements.

Customer-facing legal boundary

  • Plain-language explanations are provided for operational clarity and must be read with the cited official source. In case of conflict, the official source text controls. This is not legal advice.
  • CertaMaris provides compliance operations tooling and structured workflows. Content in this application is not legal advice and does not create an attorney–client relationship. Consult qualified counsel and the controlling official text for legal conclusions.
  • Applicability suggestions and rule outputs are decision-support only. Final applicability determinations require qualified human review and must not be treated as automated legal conclusions.
  • This application does not predict, guarantee, or represent U.S. Coast Guard approval, inspection outcomes, or enforcement results. Generated plans and reports are work products pending required review and release.
  • Agency FAQs and guidance notes support understanding only. They do not supersede 33 CFR Part 101 Subpart F, the Federal Register final rule, or other controlling regulations.

Traceability links (regulation → applicability → assessment → evidence → gap → risk → corrective action → plan → QA → report) document operational relationships. A complete chain is not a certification of regulatory compliance.
